Raising Butterflies ReadMe

This CD has two copies of the manual: a text manual: (MANUAL.TXT), and an html manual: (MANUAL).
The "MANUAL.TXT" has no automatic links, and the layout is (alas) pedestrian.
The "MANUAL" requires an Internet browser to work.

If your browser isn't Microsoft Explorer, any browser will do.
Open your own browser first , and then, click the top where it says file > open.
When the dialog box appears, find the RAISING_BUTTERFLIES CD.

With Windows, it's in the file called My Computer > Drives > CD Rom, (or something similar).
With Mac, it's on the desktop, but open it from within your own browser: Open the CD, then open the Manual, Your own browser will read the html of the Microsoft Explorer file. If you click on the MANUAL Icon, or the BUTTERFL.MOV, without opening from within your own application, you may get a message instructing you to select a translator.

If you do get the translator selection window, and you don't see Quicktime, download it Here or from the links in the Manual(s). My own opinion of translators is that they're scary & the choosing procedure is bad. If you pick the wrong translator, the automatic chooser window won't open again, so you're stuck with that choice. If you open HELP and do find the translator file, you have to know the file type that you want, and they're not listed with the file name. If you get discouraged and abandon the effort, any other file of that type will continue to open with the wrong translator, so download if you have any doubts, it won't hurt to update your copy if you already have it but arn't sure.
