The California State Legal Compliance Review Board has found this material to be in compliance with social content requirements of the California Education Code sections 60040-60044, as well as the CA State Board of Education guidelines which are outlined in the document: Standards for Evaluation of Instructional Material with Respect to Social Content. These guidelines ensure that materials portray democratic values, cultural pluralism and the diversity of our population by emphasizing people in a variety of positive roles. However this endorsement does not extend to the educational content, which is left to the viewer.
